Our Start-up Story
Every business has a start-up story, so here goes ours.
When Bob first mentioned his interest in taking a road trip to test the "Dustless Blasting" machine, I eagerly agreed. It was December 2017 and we had already had too much snow and the ingested glass of fruity sangria box wine had just hit me with a high sulfite sleepy lure that would soon have me dreaming about the warmth of Texas.
Texas or Bust
Jacked up on entrepreneur adrenaline, we loaded up the Dodge and headed to Texas. The tripped sucked. My back went out. Texas traffic has six lanes of crazy on steroids (everything's bigger in Texas). We were "beggar magnets", so everywhere we went, beggars had us on their radar and tried hitting us up for money after telling us award winning speeches about their crappy lives. (Drama is bigger in Texas.) The Midwest version of just holding a sign up for hours on the busiest corner is outdated in Texas, I guess. Bob dove into testing the equipment at the M.MLJ site and we hit the six lanes of crazy back to Wisconsin.

The Road to Research
We did our due diligence in research and worked with an awesome mentor with the S.C.O.R.E program. I can't recommend this program enough if you're ever considering a business start-up. Jim walked us through all the I.R.S requirements and everything in between. https://foxcities.score.org/
Bank Due's
Jim's mentorship and 3-5 year P&L projection data sheets pay off, we get the bank loan and www.foxvalleydustlessblasting.com is born!
The Deliverance of the Beast
April 9th the Beast is delivered. The Beast is bigger than our garage and barely fits in the driveway, but we're anxiously ready to blast away that bank loan debt! The next day, we get a blizzard and the Beast is totally buried in snow.

Dreams of "Living the Dream"
Four years later:
We get filthy-it's dirty work.
We get rich- not in money, but in experience.
We lose our s***- entrepreneurship is stressful.
We survived the Pandemic- year to date, that is.
We still owe the bank.
I still drink box wine.
Thanks for reading.
Happily blasting through future endeavors,
FVDB.
